What is plastic injection molding
Plastic injection molding manufacturing process produces large quantities of plastic parts with thermoplastic resin. It is a common and important way to make plastic parts. The pellet resins are melted into a liquid form inside the screw at a certain temperature. Then compress the melting in mold cavity in high pressure, the plastic resin forms into solid shape in the mold cavity after a certain cooling time. Finally, the plastic part is ejected by the ejection system. Depending on mold structure, part size, resin, part structure, different parts have different cycle time. Depending on mechanical and cosmetic properties, there are hundreds of resins options.
The most common-used materials are ABS, PP, PC, PC+ABS, PA, P+GF, POM, PMMA, TPE, HDPE, PS. We also use some special material, such as: PEEK, PET, PPS+30%GF, and PPS.

How does Wintech match the color of plastic injection molding parts?
Normally, there are three ways to match the color: Pigment, master batch and pre-color. For rapid plastic injection molding, pigment is the best way to match the color, but if would like to go with options of master batch or pre-color, we can also make them for you.
Pigment: Pigment is a kind of color powder used in color blending. We mix the color powder with the raw resin in ratio to achieve desired color in a few hours. This is fast and cost-effective way for color matching.
Master batch: This matching method is suitable for medium volume production and it requires more than 1 ton of resin. This costly method will take about 7 days to get matching color with better color consistency consistency.
Pre-color: In general, re-color matching is used in large volume production, usually requires more than 3 tons of resin. This is a rather expensive option and will take 8 to 15 days longer time to get matching color. Typically, this method is applicable to the optical products.
